About the Practitioner

Helping and interacting with people to improve their lives is my professional focus, and I find Massage Therapy is an excellent pathway to bring greater health and well being to my clients.

I made the career shift into bodywork in 1995 after 10 years in corporate training and facilitating.  I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in Industrial Engineering - the branch of engineering that includes Ergonomics and focuses on the human in the workplace - and I have additional coursework in Secondary Education - Mathematics - from Georgia State University.  I am a graduate of the Atlanta Polarity Institute, the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy, Anatomy Trains Structural Integration, and Touch to Inform.  Continuing Education courses of study include Reiki, Feldenkrais, and Neuromuscular Therapy.

I'm a heart centered person, desiring to bringing compassion, understanding and emotional support to my clients. Counseling is beyond my scope of practice, but a treatment session can serve as an oasis of peace and calm when life is especially challenging.

Free time is often spent getting my hands dirty in my (very) trial-and-error organic garden, exploring some craft project, enjoying music, and spending time with family and friends.
